Beef Vegetable Soup

2-lbs. ground beef
3 ribs celery, chopped
1 cup green peppers, chopped
1 cup bell peppers, chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 cup uncooked rice or 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
2 cans tomato sauce
Season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
1 package (10 oz or larger) frozen mixed vegetables

In large skillet, brown ground beef, drain off excess fat, set aside. In large stockpot, add water, all vegetables, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and garlic powder, and then bring to boil. Cover and cook until vegetables are tender. Add prepared ground beef to mixture, let simmer covered for 30 minutes. Add rice or noodles and cook until done.
