Creamy Lemon Meringue Pie
- 1 - (8 or 9 inch) pie shell
- 3 - eggs, separated
- 1 - (14-ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- ½ - cup ReaLemon Lemon Juice from concentrate
- ¼ - teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/3 - cup sugar
- Few drops of yellow food coloring, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In mixing bowl, beat egg yolks; add sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and food
coloring. Pour into crust. In mixer bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar to soft peaks. Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff.
Spread on pie; seal to edge. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Cool. Chill.
Makes one 8 to 9 inch pie
