Perfection Salad
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 ½ cups water
- ¼ cup vinegar
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup thinly sliced celery
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- ¼ cup sliced pimento
- Lettuce leaves
- Mayonnaise
Mix gelatin and sugar in saucepan; add ½ cup water and cook and stir over low heat until gelatin dissolves.
Stir in remaining 1-cup water and chill until thickened. Stir in remaining ingredients except lettuce and mayonnaise
and pour into 3-½ cup mold. Chill until firm. Unmold onto lettuce-lined platter. Serve with mayonnaise.
